June 30th

Well today was a better day.  I was so excited because I have been praying that the Book of Mormons that I needed in for the MLC conference would be in in time for the Conference.  Luckily I thought it was today and it is tomorrow.  I did the usual things in the morning and thought I would have plenty of time to fill the two orders that I finally got in today but not expecting to get in the Book of Mormons.  Then out of the blue an order for Book of Mormons and another for supplies that I needed arrived.  The one was shipped on the 25th of June but the Book of Mormons were shipped on the 27th.  It is unheard of to get the orders in 3 days!!!  I was able to fill all the orders for tomorrow and some of them for Thursday.  I have two more orders coming in so I am hoping that they come tomorrow and then I will have everything that I need.  The Elders say do your best and the Lord will provide and he certainly did today.

Larry is deep in thought most of the time lately and when I ask him what he is thinking about he is trying to figure out how to get the 13 cars into the office and processed like he needs to.  That is really stressing him.  Today he spent time calling about oil changes that need to be made and putting in the mileage reports to the computer.

The Assistants and the STL Leaders were in the office most of the day today planning for their presentations about the new planning program on the IPads.  It is great to watch them stress about how to present something and work on it until they have it.  They are all great people and the President lets them have a lot of freedom with the responsibility he gives them.  But that is the way the church functions.

We went to a restaurant called Saltgrass Steakhouse tonight on 281.  The Williamses like it and had recommended it.  The steaks were like butter and so yummy, even the vegetable are good.

Unfortunately we probably did not have time to go there.  We left the restaurant at about 6:12 p.m. and our GPS said that we should make it to the temple by 6:30 p.m. barring any traffice problems but then we turned the corner and the traffic was lined up for a mile or more and moving very slowly. And it was like that most of the way up the hill.  It was close to 7:00 p.m. when we got there.  So as we had missed the endowment session that we had signed up for we did initiatories for an hour and that was a welcome change of pace.

We came home and went for a walk.  The sun was just going down and it was a peaceful beautiful night.  What a difference a day can make.
