WE woke up today feeling like we were dragging and it was
hard to get rid of that feeling. We ate,
read scriptures, prayed, took showers and walked but we just did not shake the
feeling that there was a general malaise.
Larry wanted to go and get a food order that the Bishop gave
us so even though we have hardly any room in the fridge from what Kirsten
brought we went. When we got home we
brought it all in and eventually found room for it all.
By then my foot that I hurt the tendon in my arch was
throbbing so I determined that I needed to lay down and put my foot up.
Larry figured out how to get Netflix with chromecast and so
we have been watching season 10 of Bones.
So we watched three episodes this afternoon. I was frustrated that I let myself watch it
for that long but we did enjoy it.
Larry has been working in the garage trying to get it
cleaned up so that Kirsten can get her car in before Winter. He started by cleaning out the shelves and
tonight he was trying to put some of the stuff that is still there on the
shelves. Maren came and brought her kids
to spend the night and tomorrow with us as they are out of school and Larry
talked her into taking many of the boxes that Nathan sent to her.
I read stories with the kids and they watched Disney channel
for a while. Then Kirsten came home and
she was eating dinner and so we all had a snack with her and talked.
Max pooed his pants and so I had to clean him up. I decided that it was easier to get him in
the bathtub than to go and get the wipes in the other room. He is so funny. He reminds me of Jacob when he was little
because he speaks in such big sentences.
Ellie got in the bath after Max and had fun playing with
Taylor’s toys. Unfortunately for the
kids Taylor is with her dad this weekend and as it is UEA holiday she left
today and will not be back until Monday afternoon.
When all the kids were ready for bed then we read a few
stories about Jesus and said prayer with them and then they went to bed, Ha
Ha. I told them that they had to stay in
their rooms but that they could do something.
Larry and I did our prayer and scripture and then I went
down to see if they were asleep.
Everyone except Brinlie were asleep.
Brinlie was watching TV. Kirsten
was laying beside Max so I guess she decided that she needed to help him go to
sleep. I was grateful.
Tonight Larry and I finished our reading of the New
Testament. We have now read and studied
the Old Testament and the New Testament for the last year and a half. We read every chapter and verse in both books
and we also studied David Ridges commentary on each and the Church Institute
manual on each. We have learned so much
about how to turn to Jesus Christ. It is
also a testimony to me that the Old Testament testifies of Jesus Christ.
